WHY?

Nowadays, learning Mandarin Chinese guarantees you a good job in the future. As opposed to other countries, just a small portion of Chinese population is fluent in English, which means speaking Chinese will give you more possibilities and flexibility in your future career and field of expertise. It is the most widely spoken language in the world!
Since many multinational companies are recruiting speakers of Chinese, after concluding this program, Go Global will send your CV to all international companies around the world with which we are cooperating within our internship program, in order to find an international job opportunity for you.

This program is your best chance to learn Chinese at low cost, while integrating yourself within this fascinating and diverse culture, an experience that you will never forget. Simultaneously, any time of the day, you will be able to practice what you learned at school with your host family. Most of the students who completed this program created a close relationship with their host family and to this day keep visiting each other and practicing their language skills by Skype. Remember, as the Chinese proverb goes: “To make a Chinese friend is difficult, but forever.”

DESTINATIONS

Our clients are located all around China, mostly in Yunnan province and Sichuan province.
Yunnan, with its capital city of Kunming (also known as the “spring city”), is an excellent place to study Chinese and explore the country’s distinctive culture. Being home to 36 out of 56 Chinese ethnic minorities, the most out of any of the country’s provinces, it provides an endless source of diversity for you to discover and experience. There is a multitude of awesome scenic spots such as the city’s famous Green Lake, the Stone Forest close to Kunming where all kinds of long and towering stones form its ‘trees’, a great variety of temples, while further around the province you can travel to its charming cities such as the traditional Lijiang or Dali, ride an elephant and feel the Myanmar culture in jungle-like Xishuangbanna, visit one of the most beautiful Asian rice fields in Yuanyang, stroll through Shangri-la and Lhasa to delight in the wonderful Tibetan culture, or fly to the neighbouring province to see probably the most beautiful place in the world, Guilin. On top of all that, Yunnan has traditionally been ranking as one of the places with lowest air pollution in China!

Have you ever seen a giant panda in their natural habitat? Would you like to? Then you must come to Sichuan province, where all pandas are born in the country’s national parks.

Its capital, Chengdu, is a city of 10 million people where you are bound to fall in love with its old town blended with a wonderful skyline. Are you looking for natural scenic spots? Jiuzhaigou has one of the most beautiful sceneries in the world. It is brimming with lakes of pristine green and blue water, all among high mountains. Mount Emei and Daocheng Yading also provide opportunities for one day retreats or trekkings. The first one is a mountain with an altitude of over 3000 meters, with many golden buddhas and temples, while the second looks just like typical Canadian scenery thanks to its mountains, lakes and colour variety. If what you are looking for is culture, there are many temples in Chengdu and also a huge Big Buddha in Leshan.

Are you unsure about your choice? There is no need! Even if you only have a couple of months to spend in China, there will be plenty of time for you to visit everything you want, as the domestic flights in China are quite inexpensive, with offers of round trips tickets between these 2 provinces for less than 100$. One of our Chinese agents will also recommend reasonably priced and desirable hotels in the different places you want to go. If you have more time, all the better, as there are many more places we are happy to recommend. As we mentioned before, Guilin is a must. Beijing, its Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Longqing Gorge and of course the mighty Great Wall, considered one of the seven wonders of the world. As for Shanghai, despite not offering many culture-specific sights, Go Globlal also considers this city a must because of its unique lifestyle, skylines, multicultural atmosphere, etc. Xi’an, a city world-renowned for the discovery of the Terracota Warriors, is another place anyone visiting China does not want to miss. Once a capital city of China, its old town with the unique ancient city wall is one of the most beautiful in China, providing authentic atmosphere to appreciate its history, while the Hua mountain is considered by many to be one of the most amazing trekking spots in the world!
